Meeting Held on Development and Execution of Payment System in the Country
A meeting was held on how to develop payment system in all commercial banks in the country on 10th February in conference room of DAB attended by board of directors of DAB, payment system officials and commercial banks chairmen.
Initially Khan Afzal Hadawal acting governor and first deputy Da Afghanistan Bank discussing on importance of sound and efficient payment system and DAB’s duty towards development, registration, maintenance, regulation and supervision on payment systems said, that Da Afghanistan Bank has spared no efforts in the past twelve years to develop payment systems in line with provisions of law and has attained great achievements in this regard which can be exemplified by payment via various banking electronic cards and payment via mobile network services.
While explaining facilities, velocity and transparency of payment systems at national and international level, he added that establishment and modernization of payment systems is a must in the present era that would increasingly reduce current challenges of payment and physical money flow.
Later on Mr. Zaheer Bawar senior officer of Afghanistan Payment System discussed on efficiency and development of payment system and its activities at national and international level.
This meeting was also attended by Afghanistan Bankers Association representative and a number of DAB departmental directors and deputy directors.
