Da Afghanistan Bank's governor participates in IMF's spring meetings
H.E. Khalil Sediq governor and Mr. Wahidullah Nosher, the first deputy governor of Da Afghanistan Bank along with accompanying delegates, participated in Spring meetings of World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund conducted on April, 2018.
Central bank governors and high ranking officials from banking and financial sectors of IMF member countries also participated in these meetings which were held in IMF and World Bank headquarter in Washington D.C.
Recent world's economic development, monetary and fiscal policies' challenges and outlook for developed, developing and under-developed countries were the topics of discussion in these meetings.
On the sidelines of the meetings, governor of Da Afghanistan Bank had separate meetings with the deputy director and high ranking officials of IMF for Middle East, Central Asia and Afghanistan, officials from Treasury Department of The United States of America, Federal Reserve officials; governor's of Central Bank of India and other officials of international banks.
Moreover, Da Afghanistan Bank governor discussed the joint-economic program with IMF, opportunities for strengthening and improving further cooperation and other relevant topics with the respective delegates.
