Training Workshop on Islamic Banking Concluded with Certificate Distribution
Kabul, 27 May 2015 – A training workshop on the Islamic banking which was launched on 13 May by Da Afghanistan Bank’s financial supervision department for DAB’s Sharia board members, financial supervision staff, Islamic banking staff and Sharia board members’ of commercial banks, ended on Wednesday with distribution of certificates to participants.
H.E Khan Afzal Hadawal, acting governor and the first deputy of Da Afghanistan Bank while delivering the opening speech, said that the Islamic banking is established and managed under the Islamic economic principles and its entire banking transactions are executed on the basis of Islamic Feqh and Sharia.
H.E Hadawal added that Islamic banking services and activities now persuade those Afghan who previously didn’t believe in conventional banking and withheld to deposit their savings in the banks to put their deposits in the banking sector through which will improve people’s livelihood situation and boost economic growth of the country.
H.E Hadawal termed arrangement of such training workshops as effective and helpful for banking sector staff and instructed the Islamic banking staff of Da Afghanistan Bank to extend the process over to the provinces.
This ceremony was attended by Naseem Akbar CEO of Harakat, Islamic banking executive officer and commercial bank’s employees and was ended by certificate distribution to the participants of this course.
